1. What UniReport provides

UniReport provides local developer infrastructure: a codebase scanner, diagram planner and generator, cadence linter, chapter drafting runner, survey synthesizer, style presets, and Typst and Word compilers. It runs inside your AI editor through the Model Context Protocol. It is not a hosted writing service and it does not submit work on your behalf.

2. Bring your own model

Generation uses your own AI editor subscription in Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Antigravity, OpenCode, or Copilot. UniReport charges no token markup and operates no model API. Model behavior, availability, and cost remain governed by your agreement with your editor provider.

3. License

The software is distributed under the MIT license (see the repository LICENSE file). You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under those terms. Faculty templates you inspect or supply remain your responsibility and are not licensed to UniReport.

4. Academic integrity and acceptable use

• You are responsible for reviewing every generated section, test table, diagram, and reference before submission or defense.
• Ground claims in your real project_manifest.json. Do not present synthesized surveys, UAT matrices, or schedules as measured data unless your institution permits it and you disclose the method.
• Do not use UniReport to bypass plagiarism controls, fabricate supervision records, forge Turnitin receipts, or submit work to a university portal automatically. Direct LMS and Turnitin submission is out of scope.
• Do not use the tooling to harm, exfiltrate, or misrepresent third party codebases. Only scan repositories you have the right to analyze.

5. Outputs and warranties

Outputs are provided as is, without warranty of fitness for a particular faculty rubric, grade, or Turnitin outcome. Cadence scores measure sentence variance and lexicon, not a guarantee of detector behavior. Verify margins, pagination, citations, and cross references against your official guidelines before printing or binding.

6. Limitations of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniReport contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the software, including rejected submissions, reprinting costs, or delayed graduation. Your sole remedy is to stop using the software.
